Our Story
On Christmas Day, 2020, Stephen Satterfield was driving around the Portland neighborhood looking for something. God had given him a plan to give back to the city and specifically leading him to make a difference in Portland. When he passed by Shawnee Baptist Church on Bank Street, he knew exactly where to get started.Little did he know that, since 2018, Pastor Steve Frost has been praying about starting a food pantry at the church but the right opportunity had yet to appear. Once they met, plans moved forward very quickly to allow the Bank Street Food Bank to open on April 30, 2021. We are thrilled to see our story continue, and if you ever need help, know that you are welcome to be part of our story as well.

Each week we will distribute a minimum of 30 food boxes on a first come, first served basis.

For those that don't have a reliable way to take the food home each week, we offer home delivery for the food boxes. Deliveries will take place every other Saturday between 9:30 and noon. Spots fill quickly, so check often or follow us on Facebook.
